Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

What I'm wearing:
*Madewell Cotton Twill Blazer in Cobalt
*Gap Print Draped Tie Neck Top in Yellow
*Earnest Sewn "Lau Flare" Jeans
*J.Crew Leopard Belt (similar here)
*Aerosoles Lace-up Wedges
*MK Michael Kors "Large Hamilton" Tote in Luggage

Today I am doing two things that I normally never do. 1. Wear non-skinny jeans. It's been a long time, but I'm glad they're back. Still not really used to them, but I think flares and I will get along just fine. 2. Tucking my top into pants. I never do this because I find it's rarely flattering, but I decided this top looked better tucked in. Flares are definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I have a great alternative to my skinny and boyfriend jeans. I haven't been wearing a ton of jeans lately, and I forgot how much I like them.

I picked up this tan/neon yellow tie top at the Gap during their 40% off promotion, but I was stumped as to what to pair it with. I almost went with a neutral cream cardigan, but I decided to go with the bright blazer instead. The brighter the better in my opinion! I'm definitely going through a phase, and am always on the look out for more.

Cherry Blossom Remixed

What I'm wearing:
*H&M Black & White Blazer (similar here)
*J.Crew Cherry Blossom Silk Dress
*Steve Madden "Nataliaa" Sandal in Black
*Rebecca Minkoff "Nikki" Bag in Leaf
*Michael Kors Black Oversized Watch

Yesterday was a great day. I really needed one of those. I've been a bit stressed and frazzled lately, and the warm weather put me in a great mood, even if I was stuck inside for most of the day. I knew the weather was going to be great so I wanted to wear something appropriate. This cherry blossom printed dress is one of my favorite purchases, I always feel so bright and cheerful in it. Not exactly sure what made me pair it with my black and white striped blazer, but I think print mixing works in this case.

Wore this look to the office, and then got taken out to dinner and a show afterwards. Indulged in way too much food at dinner but I think it was worth it. Then I was lucky enough to see Book of Mormon, which I absolutely loved. It's by the creators of South Park, which means its pretty much completely inappropriate and politically incorrect, and doesn't take itself too seriously. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch something hilarious and completely ridiculous.

Country Strong

What I'm wearing:
*Madewell Denim Shirt (similar here)
*Zara Textured Skirt in Yellow (similar here)
*Aerosoles Lace-up Wedges
*Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy 30

I always feel a bit cowgirl-ish whenever I wear a denim shirt. But not only is it super comfortable, I feel like it is a nice casual neutral that will tone down whatever else you are wearing. But I still have the work hard to hold back the yee-haws!

I can't seem to get enough of brights lately. This nearly highlighter yellow skirt was just what the doctor ordered to face a gloomy, cloudy day on Monday.

I call these my granny shoes. Fondly, of course.

Just discovered Pinterest! It's a great way to share your inspiration boards and see what everyone else is loving lately. (You can see what I am loving/obsessing over here.)

I'm Just a Summer Girl

What I'm wearing:
*Costello Tagliapietra for Uniqlo Knit  Dress
*Gap Skinny Glitter Belt in Rose Gold
*Dolce Vita "Jacquie Lalo" Clog Sandal
*Mulberry "Alexa" Bag in Oak

We were lucky enough to get a really warm Sunday this weekend! It was so nice walking around, and it was amazing that one could get around with wearing something sleeveless. I absolutely cannot wait for it to get warm for real, none of this teasing!

Very excited about the latest Costello Tagliapietra for Uniqlo collection. Loved all of the great knit dresses, but this layered dress caught my eye. I love that the collection is so reasonably priced, and I think this knit dress will be great for this summer.

Y'all know that I have to belt absolutely everything. Love this skinny glitter belt, adds just the right amount of sparkle to my outfit.

My latest summer shoe purchase, I love that they are similar to the SM Nataliaa sandals that I wore all the time last year, but these are a lower and much more comfortable heel.

I just wanted to take a second to share my new favorite tumblr: Kate Middleton for the Win. I am a huge Kate fan, and am so excited for the royal wedding! But this blog is hilarious and really made my day last week. A couple of my favorites:

Definitely check it out. I'm obsessed.

Cause I may be bad but I'm perfectly good at it

What I'm wearing:
*DVF Bairly Louche Printed Top
*J.Brand "Houlihan" Skinny Cargoes
*Forever 21 Lace Up Wedges (similar here and here)
*Martin + Osa Patent Clutch

This DVF printed blouse is one of my "splurge" items for the season. I loved the print, and I saw the potential for versatility in this top. I pictured also wearing this with dark flares + wedges, or tucked into a mini skirt. Or even layered with a vest in the fall.

Thought the blouse was a good way to dress up my skinny cargos to wear to work. I felt very bright and springy wearing this color combination. The upcoming holiday definitely put me in the mood to wear some soft colors.

I Want it That Way

What I'm wearing:
*Zara Polka Dot Dress (similar here)
*anthropologie Looping Lanes Belt (similar here)
*LOFT Ribbon Teardrop Choker
*Free People Ruffled Corset Slip
*Taryn Rose Criss-Cross Mary Janes

I am such a sucker for polka dots. I'm not really sure why, but I find them cute and very easy to wear. Whenever I see something polka dotted in a store, I immediately gravitate towards it and have to check it out. This polka dot number is from Zara, a store that I hadn't been to in awhile, but found several gems in this past weekend. In typical LAFS fashion I belted the dress, and layered a lace slip underneath it. Nothing too crazy or innovative, but I did love the way this turned out.

You've probably noticed a new location for my photos! I've discovered that I can get onto the roof of my building, which makes getting up early to take pictures a lot easier. No strangers giving you the side eye, and I don't have to lug my camera down several set of stairs in my walk-up. I'm proud of myself for snapping a few outfits already this week, even though I have wet hair in all the pictures. It's just a lot easier to do it in the morning, because I rarely get home before the sun goes down.

Stars are Blind

What I'm wearing:
*Zara Star Printed Blouse
*Zara Mini Skirt with Pockets in Kelly Green
*anthropologie "Stormy Seas" Necklace in Grey
*Miu Miu Naplack Patch Pumps in Nudo

Kelly green is such a fresh, happy shade for spring. I have a love/hate relationship with the color green, and I had never really been enamored with kelly green before, but this all changed this past weekend when I picked up two pieces in this bright color (including this skirt). In real life the skirt is definitely a real kelly green, it looks a bit yellow in some of these photos.

This photo made me laugh. I don't know what I'm doing, maybe I am trying to look a bit sassy with my hands on my hips.

It's hard to see the print in the photos above, but my blouse actually has tiny pink stars all over it! These stars remind me of a candy I used to eat when I would visit Korea, these tiny sugar stars that were delicious.

The Perfect Striped Tank

What I'm wearing:
*Theory "Lorrie" Striped Silk Tank
*Silence & Noice Dolman Sleeve Cardigan in Yellow (similar here)
*J.Brand Cropped Skinny Jeans (similar here)
*Tory Burch "Reva" Flat in Black Patent/Black Buckle
*Foley & Corinna Mini City Tote in Black
*anthropologie "Whispering Breeze" Scarf in Turquoise (similar here)
*Forever 21 Reading Glasses Necklace

Something that I have been on the look out for is the perfect striped tank. I love stripes, and I had so many potential outfit ideas in my head that required this elusive tank. Finally this past weekend, I found the perfect tank for me at Theory. I love the way it drapes, the size of the stripes, and the light silk fabric that it's made of. I can't wait to wear the heck out of this tank this summer.

This simple outfit was worn to a girlfriend's birthday brunch (check out her blog about being vegan in NYC here). Nothing quite like Sunday funday! It's no secret that brunch (especially boozy brunch) is my favorite meal ever. I've been fighting a nasty cold all week (sorry, co-workers that you have to deal with my hacking cough and man voice) but there was no way I'd miss brunch.

Tory Burch flats had been a staple in my college wardrobe, but I hadn't replaced my worn out pairs from a few years ago. But I always loved them, so when I needed to overhaul my flats collection, I knew that I could always go for the Reva. These are different from the black leather/gold medallion pairs that I used to own, but I really love the patent. These will always remain classic to me! Plus, I feel super preppy wearing them, always a good thing.

Keep On Dancing Till the World Ends

What I'm wearing:

*LOFT Lace Tee in Warm Neutral
*J.Crew Leopard Print Skinny Belt (similar here)
*anthropologie Scallop Dots Skirt (similar here)
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss-Cross Heels

I have not bee posting lately because I've been so busy, and I've also been a bit uninspired. The sunny weather today inspired me to put a little extra thought into what i was wearing. This lace tee has been sitting in my closet for awhile and I wasn't really sure how to wear it. I thought it looked a little frumpy on it's own, so I thought I'd add a leopard print belt to make it a little more interesting. I love mixing prints so I picked this spotted scalloped skirt to go with it, I like how the scallop motif is reflected in the lace tee a bit as well.

Today started off so promising, but this morning my iphone was stolen off the subway. I was listening to music, it was in my coat pocket, and when the doors opened and people are streaming out to transfer, someone yanked it out of my pocket. I know I should have had my hand on it, so I can't really blame anyone but myself, but it is still annoying. =( I hope karma will get back at this a-hole. Now I know to be super extra careful.

You be my glass of wine, I'll be your shot of whiskey

What I'm wearing:
*Thakoon for Target Printed Dress
*anthropologie Double Torsade Necklace (similar here)
*Gap Over the Knee Cable Knit Socks (similar here)
*Bandolino Black Patent Flats (similar here)
*Mulberry Alexa Bag in Oak

Lately I've been trying to satisfy my champagne tastes on a beer budget. What better way to do this than with a Target designer collaboration? With the re-release of some old favorites (some that I have already picked up, you can see them here and here), you can look great for less, which is always a plus in my book. I'm always on the lookout for dresses with sleeves (who wants to deal with pesky layering sometimes) and I love the pleats on this one. The full skirt makes me feel a bit like a Mad Men era housewife, but I love that the print is modern. My double strand necklace can be my alternative to the stereotypical pearl

There have been hints of spring in the air, but it's still not quite warm to go completely bare legged. But I didn't feel like tights, and I really hate wearing pants, so I donned a pair of over the knee socks today. Even though its probably not warm enough for these either, I just could not make myself pull on another pair of tights. Warm weather, when are you getting here?

Shiny Happy People

What I'm wearing:
*J.Crew Boyfriend Blazer (similar here)
*American Eagle Slouchy Tee
*Forever 21 Polka Dot Shorts (similar here)
*Hue Opaque Tights in Black
*Bandolino Patent Flats (similar here)
*Forever 21 Scalloped Purse

Definitely obsessed with these polka dot shorts. (See how I wore them before here.) I wanted to look cute but also be comfortable at the same time. Can't wait to wear them with bare legs when it finally gets warm enough.

Don't you just hate it when the weekend flies by and it's Monday all over again? This past weekend I got to enjoy the gorgeous weather on Saturday and spent it with a good friend who was visiting New York. Champagne brunch, pillow fight in Union Square, Final Four, and tequila were all involved. It was great but unfortunately I ended up losing this boyfriend jacket. I blame the tequila. I am a little sad and now I am in need of a replacement.
