I was pretty busy yesterday since I got back yesterday, and was unable to take better outfit photos. Luckily, my friend K snapped this quick shot of me while we were walking to a college alumni event at Frying Pan. I've never been, so I was excited to go, and the weather could not have been more perfect. I love boats, and the Frying Pan is one giant boat! You could also see sailboats sailing around the Hudson River and I realized how much I miss sailing.
This dress is pretty much a glorified swimsuit coverup. You can convert it to a longer strapless dress (I folded the top over right now) or wear it as a longer skirt. I think I wasn't ready to let go of my beach mentality after this weekend, so this was my way of refusing to come back to reality. =)
Ooh I saw the outlet version of this at the J. Crew factory store and now I wish I'd snagged it!! I love the mint torsade necklace with it--it feels so easy breezy and beachy.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's a pretty simple outfit, you look stunning. Love the design of the dress and that pretty necklace!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty- and I want to steal your Barracuda sandals off of your feet! Luff them. <3
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm going to the frying pan tonight and googled "what to wear 'frying pan'" and your blog came up! Thanks for the info, and cute outfit!
