City Safari

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Cinched Voile Tunic in Green (similar here and here)
*anthropologie City Safari Belt
*Farr West Laced-trimmed Half Slip (similar here and here)
*MICHAEL Michael Kors Strappy Sandals in Cognac (similar here and here)
*Michael Kors Horn Jet Set Watch (similar here)

I love belts. I love skinny ones, wide ones, colorful ones, woven ones, etc. I just always feel like they add that extra touch to an outfit, and also helps to define the waist. According to some people I belt too much. When I saw the City Safari Belt, I knew I had to have it. From my blog you can see that I love animal themed belts. (See my other ones here and here). I love the giraffes, and the colorful colors in the belt. Paired with a solid dress or tunic like the one I'm wearing today, I think it adds something just a bit more interesting! (Also an FYI: I fixed the bunching under the bust after seeing these photos.)

I was just playing around with my camera yesterday, and Savannah happened to be around to be my subject. I'm sure I am a crazy puppy mommy, but you have no idea how many photos of her I have on my laptop.

New Anthro Markdowns!

Don't ask why I'm up so early, but since I was up anyway, I decided to check out anthropologie's new sale markdowns! I wasn't disappointed, several of my favorites have been marked down! Both Effortless Anthropologie and Anthroholic have more comprehensive lists on their blog, but here are some of my picks.

My favorite jeans ever, the J Brand Skinny Crops are now $99.95 (originally $158). These are such a versatile dark wash that go with practically everything. (You can see them on me here, here, and here).

The Two Paths Trench is now $99.95 (originally $188). I love this unique trench, both my sister and I have been wearing this and we both love it. If it's too warm to wear right now, I'd snap it up and save it for next spring. (See it on me here and here).

The Arribada Current Dress with its darling turtles is now $99.95 (originally $138). A great floaty dress for the summer, and I just love the green color. (See it on me here).

The Homegrown Dress is now $79.95 (originally $158). This dress has caught my eye since it appeared in the catalog, and I love the poppy print!

The lovely Around the World Dress is now $89.95 (originally $168). Would be a great piece for the summer, the white would look great against a tan! I can also see it being perfect for Cinco de Mayo tomorrow!

Some other great markdowns:
*Blooms Adrift Top, $39.95 (originally $78). Perfect to pair with the J Brand Skinny Crops for an easy breezy look.
*Bouquet of Stripes Tee, $39.95 (originally $68). Great striped tee to mix and match with this season's fun florals. Would go great with the Gaillardia Skirt.
*Claudine Tee, $29.95 (originally $48). The short sleeved version of the popular Wind Rippled Tee, it has the perfect amount of detail to add some fun to any skirt or pant.
*Drifting Jasmine Skirt, $49.95 (originally $98). Love the blue and white print of this silk skirt.

What are you getting from the sale? I've been pretty bad with anthro lately and nothing on my wishlist has been marked down, so I *think* I'm good for now.

Stones Taught Me to Fly

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Refracted Tieback
*Seafoam H&M Jersey Drape Cardigan (similar here and here)
*Victoria's Secret PINK Slouchy Short (similar here and here)
*Forever 21 Giraffe Pendant Necklace (similar here)
*BCBG Gold Flat Sandals

I love the fun candy colored stripes on the Refracted Tieback. It was great not to wear a clingy top while walking around today. The top is very lightweight and I can see a variety of layering possibilities in it. Today I wore it with an H&M jersey knit cardigan that is sooo comfy (can you see a pattern in my outfit choices lately?) I love it so much!

I know I've been wearing shorts like crazy lately, but I just can't get over how comfortable they are. The humidity was crazy today (look at my hair!!!) and I was feeling pretty lazy. These slouchy shorts are pretty much glorified workout shorts, but I figured the top covered the drawstring part so it was justified. I think the twisted hem of the shorts also keep them from looking too much like running shorts.

This was the perfect outfit for grabbing lunch and coffee today! I was lucky in that I avoided the rain at just the right moments.

American Pie

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Red Delicious Blouse
*H&M Destroyed Denim Shorts (similar here and here)
*Aldo Maune Suede Lace-up Wedges (similar here and here)

Nothing fancy on this summery Sunday! Just a fun printed top, destroyed denim shorts (bought on the cheap, only $10!), and some lace-up wedges to keep this look from looking too retro. The Red Delicious Blouse is such a great vibrant pattern. I am not usually drawn to red shades but this apple printed top was too cute. It kind of reminds me of a top I think Donna from That 70s Show would rock. I think a fun belt would have added that little extra to make this special, but of course I always think of stuff like that after I've already taken and uploaded photos.

I can't believe I've been wearing shorts lately. I used to really hate them, but I picked up a bunch of cheap pairs from H&M, and I've been wearing them constantly. I find them to be really comfortable, and I like them for both going out and walking around during the daytime. How do y'all feel about shorts?

I've Got a Pocketful of Sunshine

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Chantico Tank in White (similar here)
*H&M Drawstring Linen Shorts in Grey (similar here and here)
*anthropologie Ephemera Forever Scarf in Chartreuse (similar here)
*anthropologie Tangled Treasures Sandals (available in more colors here)

I hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather!!! It really feels like summer out right now. The light jersey knit of this Grecian inspired Chantico Tank was the perfect top to wear out right now. I love the way it drapes, it is super soft, and I love the white to enhance my tan. The shorts from H&M were a steal at only $10! I picked them up in both grey and black, and have already worn both pairs! I have a feeling I will be living in these this summer. So lightweight and comfortable. The chartreuse infinity scarf and bauble embellished sandals added some fun to this neutral color palette.

This was a lazy day's outfit photo. I just didn't feel like setting up my fancy pants camera today, so you just got a simple point and shoot snap. I also felt a bit wilty from being out and about all day, and decided you didn't need to see me all sweaty and gross.

And just because she is just so darn cute.... here is Savannah!
