Kelly Green

What I'm wearing:
*Striped Slouchy Sweater (from Korea)
*AG Farrah High Rise Crops in Kelly Green
*Forever 21 Lace-up Wedges
*Forever 21 Reading Glasses Necklace
*Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag in Navy

As if I needed more brightly colored pants, I picked up this kelly green pair of skinnies from Bloomie’s during their Black Friday sale. I just really love how bright pants are easy to pair with neutrals, and can keep my winter wardrobe from becoming dull. Now I really have to resist buying any more colored pants, there is no need for me to have the entire rainbow! At least I can wear these next year for St. Patrick's Day!

Colorblock & Neon

What I'm wearing:
*Aqua Colorblock Girlfriend Blazer (similar here)
*J.Crew (outlet) Vintage Cotton T-shirt
*H&M Tiered Skirt in Black (similar here)
*H&M Tights in Black
*Jessica Simpson Leopard Patent Heels
*MICHAEL Michael Kors "Large Hamilton Tote" in Luggage
*American Eagle Rhinestone Necklace

I definitely feel like I am channeling the 90s today with my colorblock blazer and neon tee. The tee is actually highlighter pink in real life, it is hard to capture in photos but I love how bright it is! Picked up this colorblock blazer this weekend while I was home in Atlanta, I thought it would be a great alternative to the classic black blazer. Paired with a skirt borrowed from my sister's closet (these heels are a previous acquisition from there as well), this can be a suit-esque look that isn't stuffy or boring at all, which is normally my concern with suits.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! I was able to spend some much needed quality time with my family and the puppies. It was so great to relax somewhere outside of the city, and escape the hustle and bustle for a long weekend. Didn't go too crazy on Black Friday, but did pick up some great pieces that I'm looking forward to wearing! Oh, and I got a haircut too, although I'm not sure about the shorter bangs quite yet.

Girls' Night Out

What I'm wearing:
*Target Body Con Dress in Grey Texture
*Forever 21 Leatherette Jacket
*H&M Black Tights
*American Eagle Side Zip Bootie in Black
*H&M Bubble Necklace in Red (similar here)
*Rebecca Minkoff "Ollie" Bag in Peacock

On this blog, I tend to capture my work and casual weekend wear outfits, rather than my going out clothes. Probably because I don't really have that many "going out" specific outfits, I tend to wear the same dresses out over and over again. This is one of my favorite dresses for going out during the cooler months. Love that it has sleeves, and it looks great with tights and heels or boots. And the fact that it only cost me $20 makes me love it just a little bit more, and it's comfortable to boot. Wore this for a girls' night out with some college girlfriends! =)

*Zara Pleated Mini Skirt
*H&M Black Tights
*Rachel Comey "Mars" Boots in Leopard
*J.Crew Field Jacket
*Target Neon Infinity Scarf in Yellow
*Longchamp "Le Pliage" Small Folding Tote in Black

Anyone else really excited to head home for Thanksgiving? I'm really looking forward to spending time with family, playing with the puppies, and just having a relaxing long weekend! =) And of course spend some time thinking about all that I'm thankful for.

Holiday Red

What I'm wearing:
*Zara Cableknit Sweater in Red (similar here)
*H&M Polka Dot Pleated Skirt (similar here)
*H&M Herringbone Tights
*American Eagle Side-Zip Bootie in Black
*LOFT Blazer with Faux Fur Collar (this year's version)
*Rebecca Minkoff Matinee Bag in Glazed Almond
*Forever 21 Double Strand Tortoise Necklace

When I saw this vibrant red sweater on the sale rack at Zara, I knew that it would be perfect to wear during the holidays. Red is not the usual color that I gravitate towards, but I thought it would be fun to have and bring some festive-ness to my outfits during the holiday season.

Fairisle Blanket

What I'm wearing:
*Old Navy Southwestern Wrap Cardigan in Grey Fairisle
*LOFT Bow Tie Blouse (similar here)
*Zara Skinny Trousers in Burnt Orange
*Cole Haan Black Patent Wedges
*New York & Co. Bow Bag

This cardigan is pretty much like wearing a giant blanket around, which I love! Fairisle patterns are so cozy and are one of my favorites for the cooler seasons. I wish that I was at some ski lodge up in the mountains, sitting by a crackling fire drinking some chocolate. I wish. At least it's Friday! =)

Anything But Mine

What I'm wearing:
*H&M Printed Dress
*Burberry Brit Anorak Jacket in Green
*H&M Black Tights
*Frye Dorado Slouch Boot in Cognac (similar here)
*Mulberry Alexa Bag in Oak
*Target Infinity Scarf in Neon Yellow (similar here)

There are two new items in today's OOTD that I'm excited about. One is the bright neon infinity scarf I picked up at Target this weekend. The neon is a bit crazy bright but I have never shied away from brights. I couldn't resist stopping by Target when I was in North Carolina, I love the stores that are in the suburbs. The NYC Targets are always so picked over. The other is the green Burberry Brit anorak that my sister was kind enough to lend me. I've always loved it on her, but she said it didn't get enough wear so that I should borrow it. I've worn it non-stop since, it's the perfect topper for this finicky weather, especially since I can add in the liner that goes along with it when it gets a bit chillier.

Wedding Snaps!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to spend it with some of my closest girlfriends celebrating my friend E's nuptials! It was an amazing time from start the finish, and I feel so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. Not only was the wedding absolutely gorgeous all around (I would expect no less from the bride), but I loved this chance to go all out dressing up. I was nervous that the dress would not be dressy enough for a black tie event, since it is made out of jersey knit material, but I really didn't want to go out and buy a new dress. To dress it up, I added a fluffy bolero and some sparkly earrings. And don't forget the glitter heels.

And speaking of weddings... congrats to my little sister Sophia on her engagement! Can't wait to start helping out with wedding planning!

Fallin' & Flyin'

What I'm wearing:
*Zara Knit Dress w/ Flared Skirt in Deep Blue
*Martin + Osa Swing Jacket in Orange
*Skull Print Scarf (inspired by this McQueen)
*LOFT Clean Sparkle Pumps in Grey
*Forever 21 Reading Glasses Necklace
*Fendi Monogram Tote Bag

This dress makes me feel like a figure skater whenever I wear it, especially today because I paired it with sparkly heels. But luckily I don't think that's a bad thing! Originally just threw a plain black coat over it, but it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be, so this lightweight orange jacket added some more color to my outfit to perk up a gloomy morning. The sparkly heels are not something I would normally reach for to wear during the day, but I just got them and need to break them in for my friend E's wedding this weekend! I think that they are so fun, but in grey the glitter isn't so over the top.

Wearing my black patent Tory Burch flats on my commute.

Come On Out and Dance

What I'm wearing:
*Forever 21 Shimmer Dolman Top in Grey/Silver
*anthropologie Flip Side Knit Blazer (similar here)
*Zara Mini Skirt in Royal Blue
*anthropologie Mint Drop Necklace
*Cole Haan Patent Wedges in Black (this year's version)
*Foley & Corinna City Tote in Aqua

Pleasantly surprised by how much I love this outfit today. I try to plan my looks ahead of time to save time in the morning, but the warmer weather definitely threw me off. Wanted something that would easily transition from day to night, and I think the metallic top is perfect for that, and I feel so festive wearing it. Brought out my bright but beaten up F&C city tote, I love carrying this because it brings back memories of when I visited NYC before I moved here (bought this at a sample sale while shopping with a college girlfriend, who bought the same one). There is a lot of blue in this look, but somehow I think it ended up alright.

Just wanted to share this photo I snapped during my run this morning! So gorgeous out today, sad that the weather is going to turn soon.

Diamond Dave

What I'm wearing:
*Tucker for Target Signature Dress in Diamond Print (similar here)
*anthropologie "Looping Lanes" Belt (similar here)
*Hue Sweater Tights in Heathered Grey
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss Cross Mary Janes
*Michael Kors "Skorpios Ring Tote" in Chestnut

This dress is from one of my favorite Target/designer collaborations, I love the shape & prints of Tucker dresses, but they are definitely pricey. Glad I could have picked up this bargain version of their signature dress last year. It is such a beautiful day in New York today, the weather is absolutely amazing. Went for a great run in Central Park this morning, trying to enjoy this weather before it goes away for good.

Soft Plaid

What I'm wearing:
*Old Navy Cable Knit Toggle Sweater Coat in Alpaca
*Forever 21 Soft Plaid Shirt in Navy/Aqua
*Lululemon Wunder Under Cropped Leggings in Black
*anthropolgoie Tawny Acres Boots

Nothing like a cozy flannel shirt and a chunky cable knit to welcome in the cold weather! I'm such a sucker for a soft plaid shirt, especially if it's in a fun color combination. Paired with my lululemon leggings, I feel like I'm getting away with wearing pajamas outside. Love that I can run and work out in these, but also wear them with tunics and boots.

Little Boy Blue

What I'm wearing:
*J.Crew Schoolboy Blazer in Grey (this year's version here)
*Uniqlo Oxford Shirt in White (similar here)
*Forever 21 Premium Denim Colored Skinnies in Royal (similar here)
*Jessica Simpson Leopard Patent Pumps
*Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini Bag in Dark Brown

Love this schoolboy blazer, but I never reach for it because I always think it has a bit of a stuffy vibe to it if not styled correctly. To make it a bit more relaxed, I layered a casual oxford shirt and paired it with bright skinny jeans on the bottom. Definitely one of those days where I'm thankful that I don't have a strict dress code at work!
