Quick Snap: Lunch in the Square

Check out some new items added to SHOP Love at First Shop! It's spring closet clean out time!

What I'm wearing:
*Madewell Chambray Boyfriend Shirt
*Aerie Chiffon Maxi Skirt in Parakeet (similar here)
*Martin + Osa Sheer Spotted Scarf
*Joe Fresh Ankle Boots in Cognac
*Foley & Corinna Mini City Bag in Black

Was running late this morning so I didn’t have a chance to take a photo of my outfit! Luckily, I was able to eat lunch outside today (was able to take more than 5 minutes for the first time in AGES) and I had my co-worker snap these pics before we headed back inside. I bought this skirt after seeing my 17 year old sister wear it in a different color in one of her photos. Yes, I was inspired by my high school age baby sister. I’ve been loving maxis lately (wore one on Monday too even though I didn’t blog about it) because they are so comfortable. This one is light and airy (or should I say aerie) and I can see myself pairing it with tanks this summer.

Maximize Spring

What I'm wearing:
*Forever 21 Soft Oversize Tee in Mint Green (similar here)
*Old Navy Chiffon Maxi Skirt in Caspian Blue
*Lululemon Vinyasa Scarf
*Joe Fresh Ankle Boots in Cognac
*MK Michael Kors "Hamilton" Tote in Luggage

It is absolutely gorgeous out today! What a delightful way to kick off the weekend. I knew I wanted to wear something comfortable, but instead of reaching for my leggings, I deemed it warm enough to break out this maxi skirt I got on clearance a while ago. I never gravitate towards longer hemlines, but I loved this print and it was a bargain to boot. The maxi skirt is surprisingly comfortable (and feels a bit freeing too). I will definitely reach for this this summer, but paired with colorful tanks and fun sandals.

Orange & Watercolor

What I'm wearing:
*Old Navy Tie-Hem Drape Shirt in Playful Poppy
*J.Crew Watercolor Dress (similar here)
*Cole Haan Black Patent Wedges (similar here)
*Foley & Corinna Mini City Bag in Black
*American Eagle Rhinestone Necklace (similar here)

I know I've done the "tie your shirt in the front" thing plenty of times, but I love it for several reasons: 1) I'm terrible at keeping my shirt tucked into whatever skirt or pants I'm wearing and 2) It's great layering for dresses that may be a bit big. #2 is the reason for today's tied up shirt, I love this printed dress from a few years ago but it's currently loose on me (which I won't complain about). Definitely a bit chillier out, so I changed into tights as soon as I got back inside. Can't wait until I can pack away my tights for good!

Easter Candy

What I'm wearing:
*J.Crew Gingham Perfect Shirt in Neon Azalea
*J.Crew (outlet) Cardigan in Neon Pink (similar here)
*Zara Guipure Lace Skirt in Aqua
*Joe Fresh Ankle Boots in Cognac
*Banana Republic Clutch in Pewter
*anthropologie Mint Drop Necklace

I never need a reason or excuse to wear bright colors but for Easter Sunday, I wanted to go all out in candy colors. It also helped that the weather was absolutely beautiful, and spring seemed to be in full bloom all around. This hot pink + aqua color combo is a bit too sweet and saccharine even for me, but it seemed appropriate for the holiday.

Also ran my first 10k on Saturday! If you want to read more about my running, check out my "Rosa Runs" blog.

Sparkles and Stripes

What I'm wearing:
*Forever 21 Sequin Front Sweater (similar here)
*H&M Striped Skirt in Melon/Taupe (similar here)
*Aerosoles Lace-up Wedges
*Marc Jacobs "Sophia" Bag in Meadow (similar here)

I was nervous that it was going to be too cold to go bare legged today, but it ended up not being too bad. I just don't know if I can go back to wearing tights again. Even if the temperature doesn't reflect it all the time, in my head, spring has sprung. Colors make me happy and this spring, I'll be avoiding black like the plague. This look is all over the place, but in my head, it makes sense. Not sure if everyone will agree, but I liked the way this turned out.

Sorry, I can't get enough of instagram!

For the first time in many, many weeks, I have finally relaxed a bit and sat down to focus a bit more on this little blog of mine. It feels good, like I'm catching up with an old friend. Slowly but surely I'm catching up on what my favorite bloggers have been up to as well. I really wish I had more time to devote to this blog, but unfortunately real life can get in the way. One of the good things about blogging for fun is that I'm not forced to post out of obligation, but only when I want to. Even though I've been busy lately, sometimes I love an outfit that I put together and will take the few extra minutes to snap some photos and upload them, even if I don't write that much in the post.

Not sure why I look oh-so-serious in these photos. The Diet Coke obviously hadn't kicked in yet this morning. This outfit was completely inspired by my always stylish cubicle neighbor and co-worker, D-Hud, I spied her layering work last week and decided that I needed to replicate it with my own closet. This has got to be one of my favorite outfits of late, it combines so many of my favorite things and was amazingly comfortable as well! First of all, this Yin Me pullover from lululemon has got to be one of the most easy things to wear. It's cozy, slouchy, and can be paired with "real life" clothes and "gym clothes". Thanks to my laid back dress code, I've been known to sport yoga inspired outfits to the office. Love that this can be paired with jeans or leggings, depending on what look I'm going for. The mint blouse underneath is a cheap thrill from H&M I couldn't resist ($13!), especially because I, along with approximately 68% of Pinterest, is obsessed with mint green. I've always loved it (you can tell by how often my anthro Mint Drop necklace appears on this blog) and I am happy that it's "in" right now, because that means there are more mint items out there!

Below are some instagram snaps from the last few weeks. (Follow me @rosaan!)

Essie "Tour de Finance" with a touch of "Clambake"

Oaxaca Grilled Cheese Sandwich from Little Muenster
(recommended by my co-worker A, who is my other cube neighbor!)

Absolutely obsessed with the song "Call Me Maybe", as much as I hate to admit it.

So my friend K gave me a jar of Trader Joe's Cookie Butter, and it is life changing. Especially paired with B&J's new Greek Frozen Yogurt. the Raspberry Fudge Chunk is delightful, especially if you love Greek yogurt. I finished the pint in 2 sittings. Bad news bears.

Ran my very first 15K this weekend! Thanks so much to my lovely friends for coming to cheer me on, I really appreciated the encouragement!
