Kelly Dots
What I'm wearing:
*Forever 21 Sweater in Kelly Green (similar here)
*MICHAEL Michael Kors Polka Dot Skirt (similar here)
*American Eagle Ankle-Zip Booties in Black (similar here)
*Mulberry Alexa Bag in Oak
*J.Crew Bubble Necklace in Sweet Papaya
This polka dot skirt has been sitting in my drawer for a very, very long time. It was a gift from my lovely sister from her days as an intern at MK, but the longer length proved to be difficult to style. As someone on the shorter side, I tend to go with shorter hemlines to at least give the illusion of longer legs. But of course I'm a sucker for polka dots, so I thought I'd give it a shot today. Pairing it with kelly green and coral kept my look bright, but the dark tights and boots keep it seasonally appropriate.

You look so pretty in these pics! I feel like you did something different with your hair, but I'm probably imaging things.
ReplyDeleteGlad you kept that skirt because it is classic and classy. A good pair of high heels can help with that longer look, but I like how you went with all black at the bottom instead.
Ah...you are wearing the necklace I'm obsessed with :p I need to just buck up and buy it. Honestly, I am having issues picking a color ;p
ReplyDeleteLove the kelly green with the polka dots Rosa! And what a pretty skirt - though if you can't get around the longer length you can always get it hemmed :)

I think the length of the skirt looks great on you. Because it sits on the true waist, you look long and lean.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of obsessed with your hair in these pics, it looks fantabulous! I can curling iron all day but will not end up with shiny ringlets like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat look, i love mix colours.
ReplyDeletefshnonmymind- thanks! I actually did do something different with my hair today, I tried out a new technique with my curling iron where I didn't use the clamp but just wrapped my hair around it. Didn't think anyone would notice! =)
ReplyDeleteportender- you can't go wrong with turquoise or coral!
You look so cute! I love the pieces individually but the way you put them together is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI think the length looks great on you! I'm short too but lately I've be trying longer lengths and I love it. Pretty green color for March too!
ReplyDeleteomg, your hair is looking so beautiful today! So soft and the curls are so romantic! love it!
