Keep On Dancing Till the World Ends

What I'm wearing:

*LOFT Lace Tee in Warm Neutral
*J.Crew Leopard Print Skinny Belt (similar here)
*anthropologie Scallop Dots Skirt (similar here)
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss-Cross Heels

I have not bee posting lately because I've been so busy, and I've also been a bit uninspired. The sunny weather today inspired me to put a little extra thought into what i was wearing. This lace tee has been sitting in my closet for awhile and I wasn't really sure how to wear it. I thought it looked a little frumpy on it's own, so I thought I'd add a leopard print belt to make it a little more interesting. I love mixing prints so I picked this spotted scalloped skirt to go with it, I like how the scallop motif is reflected in the lace tee a bit as well.

Today started off so promising, but this morning my iphone was stolen off the subway. I was listening to music, it was in my coat pocket, and when the doors opened and people are streaming out to transfer, someone yanked it out of my pocket. I know I should have had my hand on it, so I can't really blame anyone but myself, but it is still annoying. =( I hope karma will get back at this a-hole. Now I know to be super extra careful.

  2. Oh my gosh, I am SO sorry about your iPhone! I hope you called to cut it off so they can't do anything with it :(
There's actually an epidemic in Chicago right now where theives are stealing iPhones from people off the train too. One guy pushed an elderly lady down the stairs for her phone and killed her. People are sick, and I'm glad you are ok.

You look adorable! I love how the scalloping in the top mocks the scalloped skirt!

  3. oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your cell phone. I never would have thought something like that could happen. I mean I knew people would take things, but I never thought of it happening at that particular moment.

I love all the different patterns in this outfit. I really like the lace top.

  4. That's awful about your iPhone. One of the reasons I waited so long to get one was because of this -- I'm afraid to use it in public sometimes!

You look great today though -- I love how you mix pieces.

  5. ugh, what a bummer - some people just suck! some of the stories I've heard about the lengths these jerks go to steal a phone astounds me.

On a bright note, love your outfit - I especially love those shoes with the criss-cross straps!!

  12. What goes around, comes around. Stealing is for losers :) Wearing lace is not for losers, it's for winners. It's perfect with the polka dots. And I love this exposed brick wall!

  15. oh my goodess, im very sorry to hear that someone stole your iphone on the train. That's terrible. This is one reason why i'm afraid of using my tech goods on public transport - i'm always afraid that someone might steal it from me. A few years ago,i got my bag snatched on the train. ever since then, i have not trusted anyone on public transport anymore.
I love your outfit. those red shoes are gorgeous with it!
