It's Getting Hot, Hot, Hot

It's too hot to wear anything! It is absolutely sweltering here in the city. My way of coping was to throw on a lightweight dress and keep it simple. No possible way I could throw a cardigan on, and big chunky jewelry would just get really sweaty. I didn't get a chance to take any good photos, so this quick snap is all you get, sorry.

I was excited to hear that there were tons of new markdowns at anthropologie! (Comprehensive lists can be seen at Effortless Anthropologie and Anthroholic.) Here are some a few that have caught my eye! I'm going to try to drop by a store later on this week to check out the new arrivals.

High Seas Dress (now $69.95)

This adorable We Love Vera dress is now on sale! I tried it on a couple of months ago but didn't want to pay full price for it, it is tempting me now! I love the nautical look and the dress is perfect for this hot summer we are having right now. (Sizing: Runs pretty big, the XS fit me perfectly.)

Catmint Dress (now $79.95)

This dress is perfect for a ladylike tea party! Or a picnic in the park.  I would probably replace the fabric tie belt with a different one. (Sizing, runs pretty true to size, my normal size 4 fit great.)

Ice Pop Earrings (now $19.95)

These nude dangly earrings are a refreshing alternative to big metallic ones. My little sister wore these to her prom with a royal blue dress and they looked fab with her long wavy hair. 

Painted Filigree Necklace (now $39.95)

Love this colorful and festive necklace! I love the way it adds some fun sparkle to an otherwise plain dress.
