It's after Labor Day, but I still wanted to wear this cream lace dress. A lace dress has been on my wishlist for ages & ages but I've never really seen one that looked good on me and was in my price range. I have every intention of wearing this dress year-round. With black tights and the little touch of leopard print in the belt, I think I can make this work for fall.
I feel very Blair Waldorf with my big bow headband, but I have to say that I love the girliness of it. I picked up a few of these headbands in various colors from Forever 21 for $1.50 each!
I haven't watched Gossip Girl in ages, but my favorite Blair quote is: "Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here." =)
Funny, I was just thinking yesterday about winterizing a white dress too, but mine is cotton jersey. You definitely should wear that lace dress all year, it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'd seen this dress at Zara, but, honestly, I'm waiting for it go on sale here. :) But I think it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I still don't understand that whole no white after labor day thing. Why is that?
That dress is amazing, and definitely worth wearing year round!!!
ReplyDeleteLove how you toughened up the lace with the black tights, shoes and the leopard belt! The bow is purely whimsical!

ReplyDeleteI love the contrast of the white lace with the black tights. I think this is definitely a dress you'll be able to wear year 'round.
I have to say, I adore this outfit. I am all about making all clothing all-season appropriate and you did a great job here. Plus I just love that dress! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, especially the way you belted it with a leopard belt! Lace is definitely in for the fall and the dress is like a winter white color, so I say you should ignore all post-Labor Day white rules. :)

That dress is so gorgeous! I definitely got the Blair Waldorf vibe from the outfit...very cute.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this lace dress. The dress itself still retains an heirloom feeling - like you got it from your grandma, but the fit is great with the shorter length. And I love how you made it more playful with the leopard print and bow!
