Somebody Like You

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Chunky Sweater (similar here)
*Martin + Osa Striped Long-sleeve Tee
*J.Crew Toothpick Ankle Cords in Grey
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss-Cross Heels (similar here)
*Gap Canvas Satchel (suede version here)

Nothing says "bring it on, fall!" like a cozy, chunky sweater. This was one of those items that never really caught my eye online or on the hanger, but once I saw a sales associate wearing it in the store last fall, I knew I had to have it. Luckily, it was in the sale section. I love the burnished olive color that seems to be so popular right now, and I think it's a great transitional piece. The bulkiness of the sweater makes it hard to layer under a coat, so this brisk autumn weather is perfect for this. I just threw on a striped tee underneath, and I don't even need a cardigan or jacket!

I've been on the search for a great slouchy satchel, and of course the famous Mulberry Alexa one is a little out of my reach right now. I found this great leather-trimmed canvas alternative at the Gap of all places, and I love that it has a similar vibe. I love that it fits everything I need for work, with room for more. This doesn't quench my lemming for the Alexa of course, that bag will always be at the top of my wishlist!

  1. Wow, quickly made my way over to the gap website and I see something like that bag but it's in grey suede! Will hightale it over to a gap at lunch! Thanks for the tip! Been searching for a bag like that and can't throw $1000 + on the mulberry bag I'm coveting. Love those red shoes by the way!

  2. Wow I love that sweater. I wish I could wear chunky knits like that but it always just ends up making look super bulky. I'm wondering if the skinny jeans on the bottom could work though because that's super cute!

Don't forget to enter my latest giveaway!

  3. You look amazing! I love the red shoes- they are such an unexpected touch! Seriously, this looks perfectly effortless!

  4. Did you get that bag recently? is awesome!!

  5. Those shoes are super cute.

  6. Love the whole outfit, but eek! That bag! It's perfect!

  7. LOVE your Mulberry/Gap find! agree those sweaters are so tricky and though so cute, I never know the right time to wear them. I LOVE how you styled yours into this outfit!

  8. Lovely! I keep on looking for that bag at my Gap, but maybe the Canadian ones do not have it? You look very cozy and comfy, but stylish as well, great job!

  9. Great outfit, Rosa! I love the pop of red with the cords. I would never have picked these pants up last year had I not seen them on you.

I really want an Alexa, too, but all of the quality issues I've been reading ab out has me hesitant to take the plunge.

  10. Ahhhhhh!!! It's so hot here! This outfit makes me crave cold...
my cords will have to wait

  11. I love the color combination! Those shoes really make the outfit stand out!

  12. Rosa, is that bag leather or canvas? it's so cute!

  13. Shelley, i just bought it yesterday!

Spiffy, the bag is canvas with some leather trim.

  14. omg, i have to go to gap. I never would have expected such a beautiful bag from Gap (is that wrong of me?)

Your outfit is perfect. I love the chunky sweater balanced with the skinny cords and long sleeves!

  15. Wow, I love that sweater! It's making me feel so ready for fall...
