May the 4th Be With You

Want to know what's absolutely glorious? Knowing that you have the 4th of July off from work, as well as the 5th, and then getting the 6th off as well as a nice surprise. I was already planning on heading home for a long weekend, but now I get to save a much treasured vacation day. Had a lovely weekend in Atlanta, but now it's back to work. I feel like I've been gone for ages, I can barely remember what I was doing last Tuesday!

As you can tell from the layout of this blog, I have an anchor obsession. Multiple people had sent me links to this j.crew anchor dress when it first came out, saying that I probably own it already! I held out for a while, because I need another striped dress like I need a hole in the head, but when I saw it on major sale this past weekend, I snapped it up. I do feel uber nautical pairing it with my neon pink boat shoes, but I still love it. The bright pink definitely brightens up any day!

I have definitely been feeling the preppy vibe lately, and my trip down south didn't hurt! Love me some madras.

Work Week Quick Snaps

Another post of work outfits... the weather has been wonky lately here in NYC and I've been dressing in a lot of knits to stay comfortable. It also doesn't help that my office is absolutely freezing, so I also have to take that into consideration. I do keep a cozy cardigan at my desk that I pretty much cover up whatever I'm wearing anyway. At least today is Friday. Happy Friday!!

Can you tell that I'm obsessed with monograms? I'm not really sure why I love them so much, but it may have something to do with the fact that when I was little, it was really hard to find mugs or keychains with the name "Rosa" on them. And then I discovered etsy and it's inexpensive personalized items. It's a sickness.

This dress is yet another one of those items that have been languishing in my closet. The bunny print is whimsical and fun, but I feel like I've been reaching for simpler looks lately. I'm currently trying to make the storage situation in my teenie tiny studio more efficient, and part of that is taking a long hard look at the many, many clothing/accessory items that I've accumulated over the years and figuring out what to keep and what to sell/donate. I do like this dress, but it may be on the chopping block!
