First off I'm going to need a moment of silence for my favorite pair of shoes ever. These sandals have lasted over 3 summers with me, and I'm sure I won't be able to find a replacement. =( I took them off for just a second while I was uploading photos, and Savannah got to them. I've been pretty careful about not letting her near my shoes (she likes to chew them) but I let my guard down and they are pretty much ruined. I'm going to take them to a shoe repair guy to see if they can do anything but I doubt it very much. Oh well, I have plenty of other shoes, but these had a special place in my heart.
The moment I saw the It's Your Move Skirt I knew I had to have it! I love the tiers, and the colorful stitching detail reminds me of Funfetti Cake Mix. In college my favorite thing to do was to bake Funfetti Cupcakes (bonus points if they were holiday themed) and share them with my roommates and friends. They were delicious, and now I am craving a cupcake! For sizing reference, I sized down from my normal skirt size of 4 and took this skirt in a 2, because I liked the way it looked higher on my waist.
In the anthro catalogue they paired the skirt with the City Safari Belt, but I thought that it was a little too much with the bright green tank. The grey Snakebite Belt was a safe choice, and I hadn't reached for it in awhile.
I finished reading the new Sookie Stackhouse book, "Dead in the Family", and I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but I was a little disappointed in it. But I am still excited about True Blood coming back in June!!! Can't wait.
this is the cutest outfit that i've ever seen on the internet. seriously.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute, Rosa! I am hoping to pick up that skirt on my trip to Anthro tomorrow! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteI knew it had to be that skirt when I saw the title before I even scrolled down to the pic...I'm quite sure I'm going to require that skirt in my life at some point...the tank is awesome too...does it come in black?
ReplyDeleteso sorry about your shoes-that is really heartbreaking.
I'm looking forward to new True Blood episodes myself! I was a little disappointed in last season (the whole Marianne storyline was getting to me) so I hope it's a good season.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your favorite sandals...though your pup is so cute you can't stay mad at her for too long, right? Very cute outfit. The proportions are perfect and that skirt is too fun. Mmm, cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's a horrible story. I hope the shoe guy can fix them or you can at least find a suitable replacement.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! It's so vibrant and cheerful and springtime. Lovely!
Beautiful outfit! I love the green tank on you and it looks especially pretty with that fun skirt. So sorry about your shoes. :(
ReplyDeleteFunfetti cupcakes have always reminded me of you and college! I thought of you as soon as I saw this skirt. A friend and I are actually making funfetti cupcakes for her boyfriend's birthday (upon his request) this weekend.
ReplyDeleteMiss you!
Oh nooooooo! I'm so sorry to hear about your shoes! I hate it when something you've loved for so long goes caput. But you gave those sandals a nice long run, so don't be too sad! You look adorable too, and the skirt is super fun. It definitely looks like funfetti, which I think is the best boxed cake mix flavor EVER.
ReplyDeleteYou look so girly, I love it!! That skirt is just so much fun and I too am dreaming of cupcakes. Love it paired with the green!
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooo :( Oh mannn I'm sorry about your sandals. They do that, the little brats. Thank GOD mine's old enough not to do that anymore. I'd been planning on picking this skirt up this week- you've just strengthened my resolve :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your blog posts every day because of cute outfits like these that you're always coming up with! I really want this skirt, but I'm trying to wait for it to go on sale. Seeing this outfit makes me want to run out and get it ASAP!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is GORGEOUS. I must get that skirt and top!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Funfetti, hand down, is the BEST. Do you ever make the cookie recipe they sometimes have on the side of the box? Oh my, oh my goodness. Love love love.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is all sorts of win. I love how you're not afraid of wearing color- you wear bold shades, and it always looks awesome!
I love True Blood! Cute look you put together!

love the detail!
ReplyDeleteI miss your cupcakes! And, I am currently watching episodes from season two of True Blood to catch up so I can watch this next season with Bret. I love it but I can't stand Bill's accent, especially when he says Sookie's name. I do a pretty good impression of it.
ReplyDeleteThat color green looks great on you Rosa
ReplyDeleteGiiiiirl I want all of the pieces in this outfit. I am making a run to Anthro like, tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAnd re: Christine. I feel the EXACT same way about Bill's accent. My boyfriend and I will say back and forth to each other, "Sookeh, hyuk!" in his weird fake accent when we're feeling silly.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable skirt! Love it.
