I have never really been a huge cross-body bag person, but after carrying my Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch to death (see it on me here), I realized how handy they can be. Perfect for running around the city and still having my hands free. I love the bright color of the bag, I thought it would add a pretty pop of color to duller outfits.
This Forever 21 pearl bib necklace was only $15, and I've definitely gotten my money's worth.
Today I borrowed my sister's gold watch, and am wearing a ring that was a graduation present from my parents.
The floral theme that is found in my dress is repeated in my shoes. Is that floral overload? I love that these shoes have flowers on them, but they are black! They are surprisingly comfortable and make me feel much more put together than if I had flip flops on.
So today I received several boxes full of summer clothing that my mom sent over from our house in GA. I love that I completely forgot about some of what I had (this is a sure sign that I have too much), and it's almost like getting new clothes! Hopefully these "new" warm weather clothes will keep me from buying anything else.
I've been attempting to broaden my Netflix horizons, and last night I watched Eagle vs. Shark, which is an off beat romantic comedy set in New Zealand. I am not really sure what I think about it yet, it had some definite funny moments but for the most part just made me feel very awkward. Anyone have any suggestions for movies to add to my queue?
This post has gone off on a million different tangents today, but last but not least I'd like to remind everyone that my Liberty of London for Target giveaway ends tonight at 11:59pm EST!!!!
Oooh, what lovely accessories- the accessories definitely make this outfit, and that bag.... *faints*
ReplyDeleteRecently, I watched "Let the right one in" on my Netflix instant list (I have a wii...don't even ask) I thought it was going to be a scary horror flick, but it turned out to be one of the sweetest movies I've seen all year! I highly recommend it if you have the patience to sit through a foreign film!
I love Eagle vs. Shark :) It's like New Zealand's version of Napoleon Dynamite and Jemaine from FOTC is in it. He's a hilarious man.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I LOVE those sandals on you. Super cute!
I haven't seen Eagle vs. Shark, but I love Jermaine from FOTC too! That is such a funny show!
ReplyDeleteThose sandals are totally adorable! I wish my feet didn't look so ridiculous in that style!
Tara's right, the accessories really make this outfit! I love your Rebecca Minkoff clutch and I want that exact bag in red! So cute! I love the little sparrows/swallows on your new Marc Jacobs bag too! Where are your lovely sandals from?
ReplyDeleteI am total rubbish when it comes to movie recommendations, unfortunately. When I had Netflix, all I did was watch all the episodes of Star Trek on Instant Stream, haha! This is totally random, but have you seen Hot Fuzz? SO FUNNY. I don't even know why I mention that... probably because it happened to be one of the non-Star Trek things I watched on Netflix.
I love those shoes, they're really really pretty. Do they fit true to size?
ReplyDeleteBF and I are total Netflix pigs. If you like foreign films, have you seen "Pan's Labyrinth" yet? It's by Guillermo del Toro is a total (slightly scary) fairy tale. It is in Spanish but you forget about the language thing really quickly - and you can't believe the story was completely made up by the director and not some long lost fairy tale!
And if you like off-beat comedy, nothing beats "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." Kind of old, but Zooey Deschanel is so cute in it!
OK, call me Rambles ...
Beautiful dress, I love that classic black and white print.. so pretty.

amy,
ReplyDeletethe sandals are the "Night Flora Sandal" from anthropologie!
Lisa,
The shoes run pretty TTS, i got my "normal" size 6.
Love today's outfit!! That F21 necklace is awesome...I hope they magically restock it so I can join in the party.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link love yesterday. :) I wanted to let you know that I ordered the Tangled Treasure Sandals (but from Nordstrom so I could get the grey) based on your recommendation and I LOVE them.
Whoa I usually don't think to look at shoes on Anthro's site, so I was totally surprised and pleased to see that the detail on your sandals are flowers.
ReplyDeleteAnd that MBMJ bag is the CUTEST THING EVER. I have been debating whether or not I need it for a while now...
Gorgeous as always and I love that bag! Try Taika Waititi's new film 'Boy' - it's the highest grossing film in NZ ever. A few American reviewers have commented that don't like it as much as Eagle vs Shark (also a Taika film), but we all love it because it depicts parts of our childhood here in NZ in the 80's spot on.
