Somebody Like You

What I'm wearing:
*anthropologie Chunky Sweater (similar here)
*Martin + Osa Striped Long-sleeve Tee
*J.Crew Toothpick Ankle Cords in Grey
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss-Cross Heels (similar here)
*Gap Canvas Satchel (suede version here)

Nothing says "bring it on, fall!" like a cozy, chunky sweater. This was one of those items that never really caught my eye online or on the hanger, but once I saw a sales associate wearing it in the store last fall, I knew I had to have it. Luckily, it was in the sale section. I love the burnished olive color that seems to be so popular right now, and I think it's a great transitional piece. The bulkiness of the sweater makes it hard to layer under a coat, so this brisk autumn weather is perfect for this. I just threw on a striped tee underneath, and I don't even need a cardigan or jacket!

I've been on the search for a great slouchy satchel, and of course the famous Mulberry Alexa one is a little out of my reach right now. I found this great leather-trimmed canvas alternative at the Gap of all places, and I love that it has a similar vibe. I love that it fits everything I need for work, with room for more. This doesn't quench my lemming for the Alexa of course, that bag will always be at the top of my wishlist!

  1. Wow, quickly made my way over to the gap website and I see something like that bag but it's in grey suede! Will hightale it over to a gap at lunch! Thanks for the tip! Been searching for a bag like that and can't throw $1000 + on the mulberry bag I'm coveting. Love those red shoes by the way!

  2. Wow I love that sweater. I wish I could wear chunky knits like that but it always just ends up making look super bulky. I'm wondering if the skinny jeans on the bottom could work though because that's super cute!

  9. Great outfit, Rosa! I love the pop of red with the cords. I would never have picked these pants up last year had I not seen them on you.

I really want an Alexa, too, but all of the quality issues I've been reading ab out has me hesitant to take the plunge.
