I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did for sure, birthdays are always fun. This outfit is what I wore yesterday for dinner and shopping with my little sister. Her birthday is this Friday, and I'm going to be out of town, so I treated her to a yummy meal at Hecho en Dumbo.
It's been so hot out that I couldn't layer anything over the knit ruffle top. Every time I've put a cardigan on recently I have had to take it off as soon as I hit the outdoors. Anyone else feel this way? Or am I just a sweaty hot mess on my own? Also, one of the downfalls of summer are the mosquitos! I layed out on a lawn this weekend and now I have about a million bites on my legs... it takes every ounce of self control I have to not scratch at them...
I love the pairing of the bright top with the more neutral pieces! I have mosquito and chigger bites everywhere (do you have chiggers in NY?), plus a sunburn. I've been miserable! My dad always said bugs like to bite me because I'm so sweet, so maybe that's your problem, too!

You look so pretty, as usual, Rosa! I love that the palette of colors in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! Beautiful!!! I totally hate mosquito's, we live at the mouth of a canyon and it's SUPER WINDY, the only upside hardly any mosqutos!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the different shades of brown you are using in this outfit. Was that skirt a recent J Crew outlet purchase because I am seriously seconds from ordering the Ikat Dot skirt on J Crew's website, but would love an alternative?
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only person who feels like a sweaty mess when wearing layers these days. I'm actually wearing a cardigan today, but I made sure the dress was light and the sleeves were short. This evening though, it might be out of the question.
The heat, humidity, and mosquitoes have been miserable this year! It looks like you are looking great in the heat though.
ReplyDeleteAnd dang, your Chies make your legs look so long! Are they recent? I might just have to go find a pair of those.
I love the colors of this outfit as well as the silhouette. You look very pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I especially love your sandals. Any Chie is a good Chie!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. That mustard yellow looks great on you, I on the other hand could never pull it off!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow and brown together!

Oh my gosh, you are adorable! I love the print of that skirt! The belt and purse are a great shade of orange too. I agree with you on the horrible, horrible summer mosquitos - sometimes it seems like I'm a mosquito magnet! Have you tried Off? They have a new one that's not sticky!
ReplyDeleteI have about 6 bug bites on my legs and counting so I feel your pain! I love the mustard yellow, such a great color year round and you look great! :)

How cute! I love those shoes. And I always order extra olives with my dirty martinis. =P
ReplyDeleteBeing in a colder climate we're lucky we don't have many mosquitos but I hate them to death!
Love the brown skirt!
