What I'm wearing:
*H&M Bow Top (similar here and here)
*J Brand Houlihan Cargo Pants in Vintage Olive (similar here and here)
*Kate Spade Marli Too Wedge in Purple Suede (similar here)
I am not a huge pants-wearer in the summer, but these cargos are so comfortable that I'm okay with it. I haven't posted other outfits with these on my blog, but I've been wearing them like crazy lately (mostly with simple tees and flip flops for a very casual look). Did you know that these cargos are named after "Hotlips Houlihan" from the television show MASH? If anyone is thinking about getting these, I'd suggest sizing down one from your normal J Brand/high end jean brand size.
The H&M top I love because it's slouchy, comfortable, and has a huge bow on it. What's not to love? I love bows and this one isn't super feminine and over the top.
Why do I look so happy? Probably because I had lunch at Luke's Lobster today (their new Upper East Side location). I had the Taste of Maine (delicious!) with a blueberry soda (delicious as well!). I am a huge fan of lobster rolls, and these are pretty good. Followed by a slice of cheesecake from Two Little Red Hens, I am a happy, happy girl.
this is so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteLooooove those cargo pants! Great style. I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteOMG, this is SO cute! One of my favorite outfits on you!! Love that top

Sounds like a perfect day!! Those pants are a great staple!!
ReplyDeleteCute as always! I love lobster and cheesecake and that blueberry soda sounds divine!
ReplyDeleteAwww! I love the new header (sorry if I am late to the game!) and I really, really like your pants! I can tell they wouldn't work on me but I so wish they could. The bow top is excellent, too- when, oh when, will I get an H&M?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great outfit! Those cargos are seriously the cutest cargos I have ever seen. I am envious of your lunch.
ReplyDeleteI love your top. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteAHHH!! I'm so jealous of your Houlihans! I tried them on today but was right in between sizes so I left them behind. For some reason my normal J Brand size was too big and the smaller size I couldn't get up past my knees. Anthro has a similar pair that I might get if they fit. I love how you paired it with the femme bow top.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun springtime outfit! I love those cargos - I've been looking for the perfect pair and those fit you wonderfully. Thanks for the restaurant recommendation, too - I crave lobster rolls pretty regularly this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, did you have to get your cargo's hemmed at all? I'm 5'3" and wanted to see how the length is with the Houlihans - thx!
ReplyDeletei'm getting those pants! which size are you wearing if you don't mind me asking...
ReplyDeleteJenn,
ReplyDeleteI haven't had to get them hemmed, thanks to the zipper I can wear them with heels without bunching. I'm about 5'4", but with short legs.
rufflemepretty,
I'm wearing a 26 in these, while my normal JBrand size (ink skinny crops) is a 27. hth!
Ooooo, I love the cargo pants! They look amazing! And that bow-ed top is adorable as well. And blueberry soda?! That sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I like you!! :)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than a lobster roll. I'm not even a big fan of lobster by itself, but I would gladly order the roll if it's on the menu. I'll keep that restaurant in mind for the next time I get up to NYC.
You look great in the Houlihans, me not so much. I went to Barneys COOP last week and tried them on and they were comfy but felt too short for me. The crazy thing is I'm 5'4 too, but I guess I have the opposite "issue" of longer legs.
Don't tell anyone, but out of everyone I've seen wearing those pants... you look the best in them by a mile!
ReplyDeleteSkinny cargo's? Genius!!
