I Still Carry Such a Flame


What I'm wearing:
*Vince Striped Drape Cardigan
*Vena Cava for Aqua Printed Dress
*American Apparel Winter Leggings in Black
*Nine West "Sitcom" Over the Knee Boots in Black Leather
*Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch in Burnt Orange

This was the only outfit that I managed to get a good photo of from over the holidays! The weather was a little finicky down in Georgia, so layers were the way to go. While perusing the sale rack at Bloomingdale's, I spotted this Vena Cava for Aqua dress! I originally just grabbed it to try on under cardigans (I was originally wearing a sweater dress to the store) but I liked it enough to buy it! I am a huge fan of Vena Cava but their prices for even their Aqua collaboration were a bit high for me. Luckily, this dress was marked down to about 80% off, which was way more wallet-friendly. I'm all about shopping the sales lately (but without sale goggles).

This striped cashmere drape cardigan is bound to become a staple in my wardrobe. I actually picked up this cardigan in the store, but was quickly informed by my sister that she already owned this sweater, and would just give it to me so I don't have to buy one for myself! She had already worn it a bunch this season and didn't think it was getting a lot of wear. So, score for me! This is probably one of the best thing about having sisters. =)

    I love Vena Cava, but agree that their pieces are so expensive. Love that you got it for 80% off! And sisters are the best. I love getting stuff from my sister, but lately, she's been taking from me.

    The dress is lovely! I can see why you decided to keep it. Isn't it funny how sometimes you end up liking the things you grab just to try on with something else more than the thing you really wanted to try on??

    And I wish I could borrow from my sister, but she's just about 16 sizes smaller than me, haha!
