Ruffles & Dots


What I'm wearing:
*LOFT Brushed Spot Print Wrap Dress
*LOFT Jeweled Button Cardigan in Safari Green
*Hue Opaque Tights in Black
*Steve Madden Boots in Grey (similar here)
*Forever 21 Scalloped Shoulder Purse


I am eagerly awaiting the coming of spring. I know it's only January, and NY has a few more months of winter ahead, but all of the new spring arrivals in stores only have me longing for warmth and sunshine. I may have indulged in a bit of retail therapy this weekend (always a great treatment for a breakup), and LOFT was the perfect place to do it with their 40% off sale. This ruffle-y dot printed wrap dress was something I've been eyeing since it came into stores, and the sale definitely pushed me over the edge into purchasing it. I think it works with tights and cardigan for now, but can definitely be worn in the summer months with bare legs and sandals (if only it was warm enough now!). 


I really, really love three-day weekends. It's great because a Sunday can feel like a Saturday. I've been having a great holiday weekend so far, a girlfriend from college is visiting and we've been doing lots of eating & drinking. (I am still drooling thinking about the delicious pork buns at Ippudo.) All I can say is that I have the best friends and sisters a girl can have, I'm not sure what I'd be like right now without them.

    Beautiful!!! I am sorry about the breakup I really don't miss the dating scene, as it was brutal to me! At least you look amazing so he can see what he is missing out on!;)

    I can't wait for spring either. Today it is -15C (-28 with the windchill) in Toronto. My bones are frozen. This outfit you are wearing is bringing me a bit of warmth though. I love the pale pink colour of the polka dots and the purse. You look so pretty!

    I almost can't believe that your clutch is from F21. What a great find! And the slightly uncirclular polka dots are so fun and whimsical.

I am so happy to hear that your friends are helping you move on and appreciate the joys of every day, and that some retail therapy helped too!     I love this outfit. that dress is sooo gorgeous! How's the fit? Love how you paired it with those flat boots, and I love that F21 clutch. I've seen it many times in my local stores, but always pass on it. Of course now I want it!

    I saw that clutch but you make it look so much more expensive and classy than it looks sitting there by itself! I am loving LOFT these days, such a great alternative and always has such fantastic sales!!
