Wow, I can't believe that it's August already! The summer has been flying by... I originally bought this skirt to wear in the fall, but it's so lightweight (it's hard to see the pleats in these photos) that I thought it would work for right now as well. Tried to incorporate some texture and color into this look to make it a bit brighter for summer. I was talking to someone about wearing prints, and I realized that I absolutely hate wearing all solid colors. Sometimes I love the clean, classic look on other people, but for me personally I just have to add some texture or prints into a look to feel put together in it.
Had an amazing time this weekend in NC, it was so great to catch up with my college girlfriends that I don't get to see very often. More people need to get married so we have an excuse to get together for shenanigans! =)
On the bachelorette party bus!!
And one of the best things about being down South? Chick-fil-a!! =)
LOL! I totally know what you mean... I always feel so naked when I don't have a print on... solid colors defn don't work for me. You look absolutely lovely. I LOVE those peep toes :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean..I feel so weird in all solids! I love this outfit, and I just bought that H&M skirt and wore it Friday. I love it, and I love it with the pink top!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun weekend. They finally opened Chick-fil-a here in Chicago, so I need to try it!
Wow, so many people seem to have bought that skirt. I'm one of them (http://aeuropeananthrogirl.blogspot.com/2011/07/recent-purchases-dots-and-pleats.html)! I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks so good on you :))
xx
Rosa, you look really fantastic! Your weekend looks like it was super fun too. =)
ReplyDeleteI have mostly prints myself - which makes putting an outfit together sometime hard because I don't have many solids to play off the print. And if I have to get dresses in business attire - ack, I don't know what to do!
ReplyDeleteSuperbly gorgeous, I will be hunting down that skirt the next time I get to an H&M...hopefully it will still be available come that time!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Chick-fil-A it's my favorite fast food EVER!! I love that skirt and wish I lived closer to H&M I may need to call my sister and have her pick one up for me!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt looks great, love how you styled it. Chick-fil-a is so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your outfits, you have inspired me to try new things with my own outfits! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you had a fun weekend! I love Chick-fil-a too!
That skirt is darling!!! Love that top with it too! And Chik-fil-A is sooooo good. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! The bride to be looked so pretty! I am with you about Chick fil A--I am originally from GA and they are all over the place there. Are there none in Manhattan? I am lucky to have 2 close to me here in NJ:)

Victoria,
ReplyDeleteThere aren't any real Chick fil As in manhattan, which makes me very sad! (I don't think the NYU one counts.) You're lucky you have it in NJ! May have to make a trip down there haha
SYour outfit is so pretty and ladylike! And the bride is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOkay, another outfit you've inspired me with!! Please don't think I'm crazy! I just love your keen eye for great pieces!!
ReplyDeleteI feel strange if I don't have color or pattern. When I wore a black outfit last week, it just seemed odd!!
LOVE this!! You rock color so well, and I just bought that skirt when I was in chicago, so I'll have to pair it with something fun!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I have to say you have great style and I really like this outfit. It has great color and texture. I personally can get away with too many patterns and texture but you look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
