Quick Snap: Ruffles and Polka Dots!

What I'm wearing:
*Martin + Osa High Button Cardigan in Klimt Gold (similar here)
*LOFT Dot Brush Print Ruffle Shell in Yellow
*Martin + Osa Pleated Skirt (similar here)
*Vintage Kissing Mice Belt (similar here)
*Taryn Rose Red Patent Criss-Cross Mary Janes
*Michael Kors Skorpios Ring Tote in Chestnut

I love ruffles, and I love polka dots. This blouse combines both! Citrine/gold is also one of my favorite colors to work with, and I thought that this top went really well with my Klimt Gold cardigan, with my red patent heels for a nice pop.

I've been dressing a little schlumpy at work lately, probably because I'm still recovering from the holidays, but I decided that today I would dress up a bit nicer for work! Unfortunately that also meant that it took me too long to get ready so I wasn't able to snap a real photo of this outfit. I love this blog, but I won't be late to work because of it. Maybe I can try to re-create it this weekend when I have more time! But I did think it deserved to be documented, so I asked my co-worker to help me out with some Hipstamatic detail shots.

Carrying my Skorpios Ring Tote today and loving it all over again. This bag was a gift from my sister and probably one of my all time favorite purses. I was really upset when I took it out of its dustbag a few weeks ago and noticed a stain on it. I set it aside to take it to the professionals, when this past weekend I decided to have a go at it with a damp cloth. It worked, and now I've been carrying it everyday since. The leather is just soft and amazing, and I think it'll look even better worn in. [ETA: This bag is not red, it may look so in the photo, but in real life it is a darker cognac shade.]

  1. Very cute outfit lady! That cardi is fabulous and I am sad that Martin + Osa no longer exists. They had fabulous shoes and sweaters.

  4. I love the gold hues together -- you look so wonderfully warm and glowy in them! That top is GORGEOUS. The print and ruffles and silky material are great! I really like how you went bold and wore patent red heels and carried a red bag with the ensemble, too! Totally unexpected, but it works!

  5. I love ruffles too! This blouse is so pretty, in a colour that I would never think to wear. Accenting this outfit with red (shoes and bag) is genius!

  7. The gold hues look so nice on you! I love the silk polka dots too. And the red as the accent color really set the whole outfit off. Not shlumpy at all. :)
