So I finally got up the courage to go snap some photos outdoors again. I think it also has to do with the fact that I don't need to wear a heavy coat to be outside, and shiver while attempting to photograph my outfit. I chose a bad time to try to take photos though, it was too sunny out, but that was the one shot that came out alright. Also a maintenance guy was cleaning the plaza as I was taking the photos and he definitely gave me an odd look, but I just looked back and smiled and kept going. I think the indoor shots actually show detail a bit better.
This outfit is kind of a mish-mash of a few items that I just kinda threw together. I knew I wanted to wear this skirt since it was so nice out, and I paired it with a few items that just didn't work at first. Then I had a voila! moment and paired it with my new sale snag from anthro. I was inspired by this photo of the blazer paired with the Emmer Corset Top.
The top didn't work for me but I substituted a cheap lace top I got at Rave (of all places) in college. I think I originally bought this for a 80s party but never wore it, and it has stayed in my closet!
Finally got dressed today and am headed for some shopping with my sister, trying to enjoy this lovely weather.
Great outfit, Roda. You look so sophisticated and sexy.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing my Looping Lanes Belt today, too! I just love it.

Haha, maintenance guy giving you a weird look... What, he's never seen someone photographing their awesome outfits before?! And I remember Rave! I never shopped there, though, because the store always kind of scared me with its loud music and way-too-colorful offerings. The top is beautiful, though! I love the skirt as well!
ReplyDeletethat skirt is amazing, you wear it so well!

ReplyDeleteLmao at "Roda". Tien's on a roll today, intentionally or unintentionally (ref. to the "nude" comment on Anthroholic, lol)
I love this outfit- I wish my mish-mashes looked this cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the print of that skirt!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! You look great and I love how you mix new pieces with old pieces, high end with low end.

Nice! Rave! I remember that place. :) That skirt is so pretty, the blazer fits you perfectly, and I love the layered necklaces. I am such an accessories newbie that I often completely don't even think about them, so I forget to wear them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit! I really like how you've styled the pieces.
ReplyDeleteI love when you post outfits with that skirt. I have one similar and you make me want to wear. Thanks for showing different styles with the skirt, very inspiriting.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite outfits on you! I tried the boundless blazer but it looks a zillion times better on you! - and love it with the abstract rose!!
