Hypothetical OOTD: Double Mint Fun

In this photo:
*H&M Dolman Knit Top (similar here and here)
*anthropologie Twilit Skirt (similar here)
*anthropologie Stormy Seas Necklace  (similar look here and here)
*J.Crew Coralie Suede Pumps (similar color here and shape here)

Sometimes I like to fool around with my clothes and play dress up. For example, I was thinking that my H&M Dolman Knit Top (soo comfortable and a steal at under $15) would look great with my anthropologie Stormy Seas necklace. I thought that this combination paired with the Twilit skirt would make a great office outfit. I would have worn this to my previous job in an office environment. Right now my life is pretty casual and I can wear whatever I want, but sometimes I wish I had a place to dress up for in a different way!

So this is a hypothetical outfit... I think it's fun and the minty color brightens up the otherwise dark outfit.

I for one am enjoying the beautiful weather in New York right now. Sadly the weekend (and my bday) is going to be rainy but I'm taking advantage of it now! Yesterday I took a lovely walk in Central Park with Savannah. She got a little pooped out at the end and I had to carry her for a bit but I think she had fun. I can't wait until Spring is here for good...

  1. This is a perfect office outfit. I love the mint necklace and shoes! Great skirt too--I tried it on at my Anthro once it hit the sales racks but they had ran out of my size.

  4. I LOVE THIS OUTFIT. The minty pops of color are perfection! The necklace and the heels - agh, I love it all! This is one hypothetical outfit that you need to make a reality, haha! Also, I absolutely love the similar necklaces you picked out for substitutes to the stormy seas one - that Loft one takes my breath away and I'm itching to order the Anthro one in both coral and mint! Must. Resist!

  14. That shade of green is such a fantastic accent color! I love how you repeat it in the necklace and the shoes. Such a gorgeous outfit!

  15. I love the mint accents on your outfit! The green really makes everything POP. I'm bookmarking this page as future inspiration for my very own minty outfit. First, I have to hunt down those sumptuous Coralie pumps (the Rupert Sanderson pair are wayyyy out of my budget)!

PS: I'm not sure if your office allows fun nail colours, but China Glaze's For Aubrey would complement this outfit perfectly!

  16. Hello inspiration!
I found the Twilit skirt as a return last week and scooped it up immediately. I wondered if i could wear it w/o tights or now that winter is moving past us. But you did it right! I love it with the mint shoes and necklace. I am going to try and re-create the look with some similar pieces i own! Thanks!
