This sweater is one of the coziest I have. During the fall it works pretty well on it's own, but it is way too chilly to wear by itself right now. I decided to layer with a simple black tee, and now it's warm enough to wear without a coat while running errands. And of course my trusty green Botkier has been my purse companion all week. It goes with everything, I swear, and even if it doesn't, it goes great with the big brown coat I throw on over everything.
I've been on the search for the perfect pair of oxford shoes for a while now! I know that they are pretty trendy right now, but I wanted to find a classic pair that wouldn't look too dated when it's not "in" anymore. I knew that I wanted a cognac pair, but for some reason I had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted. I was browsing FreePeople.com, which has an excellent selection of oxfords to choose from, and this Jeffrey Campbell pair caught my eye. When I received them I was impressed, they were exactly what I was looking for! Now I can't wait until they are broken in perfectly.
Yey for oxfords!! I just got my first pair recently and really enjoy them. They were the type of shoe that I suspiciously looked at from afar b/c I didn't know if they would take away my girliness and didn't know how to incorporate them in my wardrobe. So glad I got them (super-cheap from Aldo) and I think they go with so much!!

I love the wash of those jeans, and the oxfords are great! I want a pair like that, I have heeled brogues which are awesome but I want some flat ones too. I think they'll always be in style, because they're so simplistic =)
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure you're on a quest to kill me lately. I have always noticed that sweater and now it looks so insanely good on you. Your whole outfit is great. I think my feet are too big compared to my body for me to wear oxfords, so I am jealous. Also, "Oxford Comma" is my favorite Vampire Weekend song solely because I have an affinity for songs that drop the f-bomb casually.
