Toasty Warm from Head to Toe

I kind of feel like a hot mess right now. Probably because I had a really hard time deciding what to wear today, so I kinda just put on all my favorite items. All at once. So it is a bit over the top but I am warm and cozy! I'm wearing a cardigan, a sweater skirt, AND sweater thigh highs. All J.Crew has to do is slap some ruffles and rosettes on something and I'm all over it. It's a disease. They will probably name it after me after I overdose on ruffles and rosettes.

Loooooove ruffles.

I'm squinting because the sun was shining directly into my face! Argh. Also the cause for the colors and details to be washed out a bit. This is what I get for getting dressed early!

What I'm wearing:
Martin + Osa Essential Cashmere cardigan in a purple from a previous season
J.Crew Ruffles & Roses Tissue tank in Ivory
anthropologie Fulmar sweater skirt
anthropologie Snake Bit belt in Grey
grey Target thigh high socks
anthropologie Tawny Acres boots

  4. You don't look like a hot mess at all. I love this outfit, and think it's kinda perfect. :) I love the colours in it, and I am super jealous over the bird skirt.

  10. You are anything but a hot mess. You've seriously have me considering those boots.

How is the circumference around the calves? I've got pretty thick calves, so not all boots work for me.

  13. I love the way you're wearing the Ruffles and Rosettes Tank! I tried it on in black the other day and loved it so much. Maybe I should just get it... you look so great!

  15. Tien- I have relatively large calves and they fit pretty easily in these! I can see these being too wide for people with narrow calves. I think I can even tuck (very) skinny jeans into them!

Maria- you *need* this!!!! i love it so much, but jcrew knits always suck me in (so soft). i ended up getting this in the light grey too

  18. Adore adore the tank! Why oh why don't we have J.Crew in Sweden...

To use Tim Gunns phrase - "make it work", you're really living up to that. I mean, all the pieces are pretty different and I don't think I would be able to come up with this combination myself - I really like it!

  19. LOL, where is this "hot mess" that you speak of? This outfit is great. The colors are unexpected, but really go well together!! I have the Fulmar skirt too, but I would have never thought to pair it with purple, but you make it work ;)
