H&M Striped Dress
H&M Tights
Black OTK Boots fro eBay
Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch in Burnt Orange
anthropologie Submerged Necklace
I don't know why but I am always a sucker for nautical themed items. It may be because I love sailing, or because the symbol of my sorority is the anchor. I've always loved anything that has to do with boats and water. That is why I had to have this Submerged Necklace, how cute is the little bit of "rope", the pearls, and the wee octopus? It may be overkill but I really wanted to pair it with my striped dress from H&M, so it's nautical all around.
Here's a better look at the necklace and bag~
I love that necklace on you, Rosa. I saw at my local Anthro the other day and should have gotten it (all the more reason to go back, heh heh).
ReplyDeleteI love stripes too - it always reminds me of spring.
How's the weather in NYC? Ready to get dumped on again?
I love the clutch! I just wish I could not be such a packrat that could carry a clutch. :) That is a beautiful necklace with the dress. And stripes are always a hit with me.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that necklace with the striped dress. I would never have thought of that! I'm thinking of "borrowing" this idea.
ReplyDeleteLove that necklace, such a cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteSooo kicking myself for not getting that necklace before it sold out :(
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I am a sucker for Nautical, too.
There were a couple of the Submerged necklaces at the Lenox Square location in Atlanta when I was there this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the necklace before I saw it on you, Rosa. Now I kind of really want it ...
I've been getting into stripes lately. That octopus is to cute!
ReplyDeleteHello from a first-time poster! I love your blog - you have such great style!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you have a nice RM collection and wondered if you put any sort of leather protectant on your bags? I just got my first Nikki and am scared to take it in the rain. Thanks!
I love this outfit, it's so much fun. The dress looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteThe weather today during the day was fabulous! I wore a light coat and I was fine. I am excited for the snow though!!
Emily,
None of my bags have any sort of leather protectant, and they've faired pretty well. I am careful in foul weather though, but a little bit of rain never hurt any of them.
I am the same way with the attraction to nautical theme items! So I must admit I love your outfit! :)

Thanks, Rosa! Good to know. :)
ReplyDeleteI want that RM bag!!! LOVE the color! Nautical inspirations are classic. I can see why you would gravitate towards it. Plus, it just screams SPRING and lovely weather! Totally cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pairing of the striped dress and that necklace. I saw a bunch of the necklaces last week in my local store. I will have to head over tomorrow to see if there are any more left!
ReplyDeleteAre those navy or black stripes? Which H&M did you get it at?
ReplyDeletestephanie, It's hard to tell (i always have this problem) but i'm pretty sure they are black stripes. i got this at the SoHo H&M (the one with the downstairs)
ReplyDeleteI forgot to comment on this a few days ago, but I love this look so much that I had to come back and say something -- so cute! LOVE that stripey dress. I adore nautical-y clothes too!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for awhile and now i know that we are sisters in the same sorority! Love the clothes... in fact -- I've been searching for a striped dress like that! Perhaps for the same reason?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, that is very cool! =) I feel like we DGs are always attracted to nautical things!
