Son of a Sailor...

What I'm wearing:
H&M Striped Dress
H&M Tights
Black OTK Boots fro eBay
Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch in Burnt Orange
anthropologie Submerged Necklace

I don't know why but I am always a sucker for nautical themed items. It may be because I love sailing, or because the symbol of my sorority is the anchor. I've always loved anything that has to do with boats and water. That is why I had to have this Submerged Necklace, how cute is the little bit of "rope", the pearls, and the wee octopus? It may be overkill but I really wanted to pair it with my striped dress from H&M, so it's nautical all around.

Here's a better look at the necklace and bag~

  1. I love that necklace on you, Rosa. I saw at my local Anthro the other day and should have gotten it (all the more reason to go back, heh heh).

I love stripes too - it always reminds me of spring.

How's the weather in NYC? Ready to get dumped on again?

  2. I love the clutch! I just wish I could not be such a packrat that could carry a clutch. :) That is a beautiful necklace with the dress. And stripes are always a hit with me.

  6. There were a couple of the Submerged necklaces at the Lenox Square location in Atlanta when I was there this weekend.

I didn't even notice the necklace before I saw it on you, Rosa. Now I kind of really want it ...

  8. Hello from a first-time poster! I love your blog - you have such great style!

I noticed you have a nice RM collection and wondered if you put any sort of leather protectant on your bags? I just got my first Nikki and am scared to take it in the rain. Thanks!

  10. Lisa,
The weather today during the day was fabulous! I wore a light coat and I was fine. I am excited for the snow though!!

    Emily,
None of my bags have any sort of leather protectant, and they've faired pretty well. I am careful in foul weather though, but a little bit of rain never hurt any of them.
